Closed testing · Free
Get the apps before they launch.
NEC Tayari, Loksewa Tayari and QuizFlow are in Google Play's closed-testing stage. Joining once covers all of them: you install from Google Play as normal, get every update first, and help each app reach its public release.
Apps in closed testing
Join in three steps
Do them in order. Google Play only opens the opt-in page to accounts that are already on the tester list.
Join the tester group
Open the “closed-testing-apps” Google Group and click “Join group”, signed in with the Google account you use on your Android phone. Membership is what puts you on the tester list for every app here, and it takes effect straight away.
Opt in on Google Play
Open the opt-in page, sign in with the same Google account, and tap “Become a tester”.
Install and keep it for 14 days
Install from Google Play as usual. The app updates like any other. Please keep it installed and open it now and then for 14 days: Google requires a group of testers to stay for that long before an app can launch publicly.
Questions
What is closed testing?
It is the last stage before an app is released publicly on Google Play. The app is published as normal, but only people on its tester list can find and install it. Google requires newer personal developer accounts to run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before an app can launch.
What do I need?
An Android phone or tablet with Google Play, and the Google account (usually a Gmail address) that is signed in to Play on that device. Use that same account at every step.
Is it free?
Yes. Joining the test and installing the app cost nothing.
The opt-in page says the app isn't available to me.
That means the Google account you're signed in with isn't on the tester list yet. Check you joined with the same account you use on Google Play, or switch accounts on the opt-in page. Changes can take a few minutes to reach Google Play.
How do I send feedback?
Use “Send feedback” on the app's Google Play page (testers get a private feedback box), or email contact@bibekadhikari18.com.np. Bug reports with your phone model are especially useful.
How do I leave the test?
Open the opt-in page and choose “Leave the program”, then uninstall the app if you like. You'll be able to reinstall the public version once it launches.
